I have an update, but it’s not one anyone will want to hear. I should have told y’all this over a week ago. I apologize.

I have parted ways with Sankofa. My former students last saw each other just prior to Labor Day. At that time no postcards had arrived. There were financial difficulties I knew nothing about that contributed to my leaving. It’s a fine homeschool with an excellent academic curriculum and an ambitious Vegan lunch program that I would ordinarily highly recommend except for the not too insignificant problem of owing me two weeks’ back wages.

I have a few prospects. I expect I’ll soon be at a position appropiate to my training, capabilities and experience; if not, I will acquire a position at a local food preparation establishment where a goodly part of my workday will be spent asking diners, “Paper or plastic?” or “You want to Biggie Size that?”

YOU guys were terrific. I thank you for your help. If the school has followed the lesson plans I left, I imagine the students are enjoying their geography studies tremendously.

That’s very sad news **Askia**. I hope all goes well in finding a new position.
