I’m planning a music service at the local UU church. VeryCoolSpouse is a member (I don’t attend, myself) and has complained about the quality of the music on more than one occasion. For no one will recognize the melody unless the notes are played clearly. But I’d like to add some references from other cultures with which I am, sadly, less familiar. Buddhist texts, Koran, whatever…you find it, I’ll use it. ---
