So I invited a few neighbors over for an Oscar party, but I’m afraid it might be a flop. Why? Because 1) Nobody cares about the Oscars but me and I only really like them because I’m starstruck, 2) I have no idea what to do except have a betting pool, lots of snacks and some decorations and 3) my husband will kill me if I spend more than like, $20.00 on anything except food. Have any of the Millions that are Teeming ever thrown an Oscar party? Help! * * * You have the right to remain silent. Anything you say will be misquoted, then used against you. Try and have snacks inspired by the nominated movies. e.g. “Cider House Rules” Cider, “American Beauty Fast Food” burgers, “Sweet and Lowdown” martinis, “Anna and the King” pahd thai noodles, etc… Of course, you’ll want to hand each guest a ballot to vote with. Good to go on the printed ballot, **Arnold** - got it from that very site last week. Love the idea of theme snacks, though. Cute! Wish I had the guts to be a bald naked gold guy. ---

Just thought of another idea. I’ve played this game before where someone tapes a name on your back, and you’re supposed to figure out who you are by asking questions of other people. You could do that with the nominees (actors and/or films.) ---

You could check out Ebay and see of some of those stolen Oscar trophies are for sale. If ya see it, I’d love the lifetime achievement award. * * * Kinooning it up for 20 years and counting ---

How about doing your own version of the Oscars? Mock-Oscars. Mockscars? Worst dressed, most likely to cry during their speech, most likely to drone on and on, etc. Or, Oscar-charades?
