How would this Dell 17 laptop perform for gaming? I’m thinking games like Oblivion, Doom 3, and the upcoming Diablo sequel - oh and MAME, or course. Thanks a bunch!

Sounds like a nice unit but my first question as a PC guy is, if you are gaming…why a laptop? The desktop compnenets are cheaper and faster. That chip is basically a bump up from a Core2duo 2.4GHz, if you are looking for gaming potential, i5 is where the hot bang for the buck is right now.

Great question. I have to travel very light for a new job. I just don’t have the space, and I need the portability from my temporary home to and from the office.
