I like the idea of an aquarium. But if you have a little kid, perhaps something for him? A [bookcase/shelves](http://reuseandupcycle.blogspot.com.au/2012/05/grandfather-clock-shelves.html), or turn it into a nightlight or something that plays music softly while he goes to sleep? There’s something hinting at Peter Pan for me with it as well, but not sure what that could be. Or if you have some real time on your hands and like the idea of [something vaguely creepy](http://technabob.com/blog/2010/01/20/real-time-grandfather-clock/). ---

Move the clock near the front door. Get a white sheet, cut eyeholes in it, cover yourself with it and hide in the clock. When people come over, jump out of the clock and yell boo. ---
