I second _Graceland_. The title song and _That was your mother_, at least, have good references to parent-child relationships. ---

How about - ‘Your Dad Did’ by John Hiatt or any combination of songs by Loudon/Rufus/Martha Wainwright? esp ‘Hitting You’ or "Rufus is a Tit Man’ by Loudon, and ‘Dinner at 8’ by Rufus MiM ---
