My first exposure to actual, 60’s girls dancing (to 60’s music) was in a movie who’s name I can’t remeber, but it involved some kids trying to get to canada for spring break or some such… Since then I’ve spotted the same dancing in other 60’s shorts. When I first saw it I was shocked and mesmerized! First of all, it is NOTHING like depicted in contemporary movies I’ve seen. Holy cow, it looks like their having epileptic seizures! And yet, I cannot look away… But no one beleives me when I relate my experience! Does anyone know of either a popular 60’s movies that depicts girls dancing in this way, or even better an example I can download on the web? If you were around in the 60’s and your a girl, and you danced like this, could you tell me a little about it? Thanx! 🙂 ---

This probably isn’t what you want, but check out the Indian dance number in _Ghost World_. It’s from an Indian movie called _Gumnaam_ and the song is called “Jaan Pehechan Ho.” ---

IANA girl from the '60s, but being a big fan of the music and dancing of the time, I would recommend if you want a real freak out, try watching _To Sir, With Love_ . Also, _Hard Days Night_ _The Girl Cant Help It_ , has Little Richard in it. ---

Not sure if this is quite what you’re looking for, but try going to [Dennis Nyback’s web site](http://www.dennisnybackfilms.com/) and clicking on “Scopitones”. ---
