Weird question but I need a real(truthful) answer. Is it possible for another employee and I to have different State Employers ID #'s when we work for the exact same place. Say the Mc D’s on the corner of Hell and No :eek: ---

Sure, it’s possible. It could be a mistake, or it could be that more than one business entity operates the business in question, and employees are divided between them. Or, it could be some kind of mafia money-laundering scheme. Alert Interpol at once! ---

Are EINs issued to each physical place of business or are they only issued to, say, corporate. Like freido said, you and your friend may just be divided up for some reason. When you’re doing your taxes just use the number on your W-2 and you don’t have to worry. If you get physical checks you could see if you have similar check numbers or banking numbers also. I woulnd’t fret.
