Tymp, you are an evil man. Montfort and tubagirl, you seem to be getting the hang of this party. Gaudere, I must express my most sincere apologies for eloping. Between you and me, I’ll maintain my secret admiration for you. I only wish we had had the opportunity to let my love for you come to fruition. Alas, 'tis now too late. It was partially the stress, which your friends are now enduring, which instigated the decision and limited our cherished time together. Oh well, have some champagne. Jodi and dropzone, thank you for the congratulations, but you must partake in some cyber-cider. Sue, you’ve got it down pat! Just follow the step by step instructions: Elope, drink, elope, drink, elope, drink… I guess you can’t elope more than once (well, you know what I mean), so just substitute drinking in lieu of the additional marriages. One last thing: It’s our one week anniversary! What’s the symbol for that? Perhaps a paperclip? ---

I’m the eldest, too, and will surely be the first to get married in my generation. But, a wedding is about the bride and groom, and not the mothers-in-law-to-be.
