Sometmes I dream about flying exactly how they portrayed it in the Matrix Reloaded.
But I think I’m wierd because most of the time my “flying” in dreams is more like swimming. Through the air. Almost like breast-stroke. My friends think I’m crazy.

When I have the flying dream, I can only skim along about a foot off of the ground, and it takes a supreme concentration of will to generate the mysterious force that I have to direct downwards to stay aloft. And it only works for short distances.
It’s a lot of fun in the dream, but I always feel vaguely sheepish and depressed about it when I wake up. It’s been that way for about 12 years.
It’s a dream-- I could be zipping through the clouds. Nah-- ten inches off the crappy carpet. At work. God help me.
If you think that is bad, I’ve never had a dream where I can fly. I’ve always wanted to but never have. In the few dreams where I realized I was dreaming I remember thinking “Good now I can fly.” But my next thought is always “But flying isn’t possible”, at which point I always wake up. Now that’s depressing.
Sorry the movie sucked so bad for me I left the theatre. I thought the flying was pretty tacky.
Apology accepted. Because the opinion of each and every person who didn’t like the movie really matters to me.
You and me both! Except I don’t tend to be at work. Rather I’m running down a hillside then just lean forward and skim down about 10 inches off the ground.
Neat feeling, huh!
I have “bouncing” dreams as well, but I am a 32 year old perv…
I wish I could fly in my dreams, rather than tripping every second step when I need to run away from something…
But the flying scenes were really cool and I like the tornado-following-Neo scene immensely.
