Those sites are along the lines of what I was looking for. Both a little to pricy for me I’d have to watch way more porn to make them cost effective. Guess my local seedy adult film store will continue to get my business
I do think that. Not the cracked in half ones, but the somebody-sat-there-scratching-this-thing-with-steel-wool ones. Or the ones with bits of dried on oatmeal (Please, God, let it have been oatmeal). No way that happens in the mail - it obviously came back to them like that and they didn’t do a visual check on it before sending it back out.
That’s the thing though. I had Netflix and Blockbuster at the same time. The Blockbuster discs were often cracked, the Netflix ones aren’t but rarely. Somebody’s mishandling the Blockbuster discs between me and the nearest shipping facility. I’m sure Blockbuster doesn’t want their discs sent out broken but as a paying customer I didn’t feel like putting up with whatever their problem was.
I had netflix for a year or two and now have had blockbuster for about 4 months. I’ve never had a problematic disk or an excessive wait for a movie I want. And being able to swap for in the store is GREAT. I do have to strategize a bit though - I don’t put things in my “Q” that I know I can pick up at the store. I only get things through the mail that are more obscure. The new releases I trade in to get.
I think I have faster turnover on my disks now too. I’ll watch something just to have watched it and be able to trade it. Before, with netflix I was likely to sit on a disk for 3 weeks waiting for the right mood to strike.
Oh and Neflix’s actual website blows Blockbuster’s right out of the water. But being able to trade has won out for me. I’m very happy with Blockbuster’s service.
what turned me off of BB online was the website itself- not sure if if still does this, but it used to list movies by a particular actor, even if they movie was not available. I once searched Anna Karina, and thought BB has 72 of her films, unlike Netflix’s six. Then I saw that only a handful of those lsited were actually available.
