Hi. I use Netscape 7.1 on an XP system, fast new computer, hig-speed internet and everyting. But for some reason, everytime I try to left click\>Save a file of the internet, my computer doesn’t let me. It gets as far as the “Save File In…” screen, but when I click “Save,” the screen goes away and nothing gets downloaded. Can someone please tell me what’s going on here?

You mean right-click, “Save As”? What type of files/where are you saving them from?

Try opening the Download Manager (it’s in Tools, I think… I use Mozilla) and see if anything’s listed there.

Yes, right click “Save As” is what I meant. Any sort of file has problems. I can’t open Download Manager either, just the whole download system seems to have locked up.

At least one P2P program, Shareaza, can be set to manage downloads, in which case you might see what you are seeing here.
