Just out of curiousity, does anyone know if anyone ever **wins** any of these candy-contest thingies? Every time I hear of one of these new contests, I keep having a mental image that the winning bag o’ M&Ms is sitting in a federal penitentary somewhere. Or maybe rotting away, completely forgotten, in a small gas station along a dusty stretch of I-10 in Texas… ---

There was a sweepstakes thingy about 20 years ago where pint bottles of Pepsi had letters on the underside of the caps. The goal was to spell out “PEPSI SPIRIT”, and in order to limit how many people won, they printed varying numbers of the letters, with one letter being printed least of all. That was the “R”. I thought it was kinda funny that, all across the country, people were spelling out “PEPSI SPIT”. ---

Another irritating thing about M&M’s was their contest in which you had to enter some sort of code in their website to see if you are a winner. The catch? You must register _before_ entering the code. :rolleyes: But I can’t… stop… eating… them. So my rage is still unvented. ☹ ---

Well, I must say I just bought myself a little baggie of Groovy M&Ms, and I didn’t win either. ☹ I noticed in my bag it was only the green and yellow M&Ms that were Groovy. :dubious: ---

Didn’t the little brother (M&M, coincidentally) in _That Was Then, This Is Now_ be S.E. Hinton think his bag of M&Ms was groovy? Remember, in the bowling alley, before one of the Shepard boys jumped him? ---
