Neverending Story mystery question

Isn´t the name “moonchild” somehow related to black magic or satanism ?
I vaguely remember a song of the same name by a band called Crimson King (!) , where it goes about summoning a moonchild.
That would give “Neverending Story” quite a dark edge.

Hey, by the way, as a kid me and my parents actually visited the studios where they filmed “Neverending Story” (next to Munchen/Germany),
and I actually got a ride on the white dragon/flying dog Fuchur.Great, eh?

I haven’t seen the movie in years, but I seem to remember her as being very nice looking. Maybe HOT is the wrong word, but she wasn’t ugly. Of course, I was about 15 when I saw the movie so…

Her name is Tami Stronach, and it was her only movie. I used to know someone who went to school with her in San Francisco. Apparently she was a tomboyish type who usually wore army fatigues.

She’d be about 30 now.

Hey wow, I just looked her up - she’s a choreographer in New York now! So if you want to check her out…

She’s most likely still hot, only not so Childlike or Empress-y.

Fuchur? I always thought his name was Falcor. Did they change it for the movie? (I never read the book).

I, too, thought the Childlike Empress was a babe. I used to dangle necklaces from my forehead to try to look like her.

The name is actually spelled “Falkor”, and it is the same as in the book. Names of all of the other major characters in the movie are the same as well.

I read the original german version of the book, and there the dragon´s called “Fuchur”, as far as I can remember…
