Not to answer for him, but there _is_ a certain attraction connected to being able to say _“Don’t blame me. I didn’t vote for [fill in blank with name of actual winner]”_ after every single election.

Reviving this thread to note the launch of yet another centrist, positionless, why-can’t-we-all-just-get-along 3rd party movement composed of bored, out-of-office politicians. This time with Joe Lieberman as their political star.

Same observation as earlier. Groups like this exist only to capitalize on fundraising opportunities and predictably disappear after they’ve absorbed another few years worth of yacht money.

The usefulness of such a Party can only be determined by how many schisms it creates and in which of the other two Parties.

I kind of liked Yang when he first appeared on the national scene. Maybe he didn’t have the right answers but he, at least, was asking a lot of the right questions. Now I wish he’d just shut up.
