Is it an RPG being made by Bioware?! No, but neither is this going to be a Rocksteady beat. WB Montreal will be taking over on the franchise… these guys apparently made the Armored edition (I think that’s the WiiU edition of Batman: Arkham City) and some scooby doo game. The main dev was also responsible for Protoype and the Incredible hulk… I’m worried. Anyway, the game will have Batman meeting his most dastardly adversaries for the first time and I wouldn’t be surprised if the game is more open world than even Arkham City. Do we really need another origin story? One of the things I loved about the previous Arkham games is that they didn’t waste my time and went straight to Batman being Batman. A prequel also seems like a lazy way to have the Joker in the game. Talk about having your cake and eating it too. ---

I’ll have to admit I’m concerned at this point - concerned enough that I’ll rent this via Gamefly before I buy it, whereas I got B:AA and B:AC on day of release…I’m going to be especially looking for reviews about the combat system as compared to the RS games. ---

From what I’ve read, it appears that the new game will use the same engine as the first two, so the combat system should be largely unchanged. ---

Well, it is Arkham Origins, not Batman Origins, so maybe Batman will still already be Batman. It would have to be the origins of the Arkham prison asylum and not the Arkham itself, though, as we know about the origins of Arkham from the first game. Unless the guy was so insane he made up that history altogether. ---

I thought they came out a while ago and said the next game would take place in the silver age comic universe? Also, watch the little video. This isn’t really an origin game, they say that explicitly. Not the origin of Batman or the origin of Arkham. ---

And it takes place in Gotham (which imo the second game should have). So it’s not centered on Arkham as far as we know, and it isn’t an origin game. Pointless title. Has Arkham in it to tie it to the other two, has Origins in it as a generic game suffix title (as far as I can see).
