Bruce Springsteen has released a new single, _Nightshift_, a cover of the Commodores’ hit song.

The Boss has a new album due out on November 11, called _Only the Strong Survive_. It contains 20 soul covers.

Excellent! I’ve got tix to see him on tour this winter. I think it’ll be my 15th Springsteen concert since 1977.

Damn, that sounded great. Sometimes I joke about his voice, but it is well suited to that song.

Very sweet cover. I’ve read the other day that Springsteen releases an album with soul covers, and I’ll surely listen to it.

Pretty damn good cover, but I think I give the nod to the Commodores’ version. Springsteen’s is just a little over-orchestrated for me. The original had a sparse simplicity to it that really worked.

Nice! I always liked the Commodores’ version and always turned up the studio monitor to “10” when I played it on the radio over the years. I’m looking forward to this album.
