I wonder what Arab Christians make of Chick’s assertion that ‘Allah had no son’. Also, how can we possibly be shocked by 'Your wicked city is feeling the wrath of Allah!" when more or less the same sentiment is heartily endorsed [here](http://www.chick.com/reading/tracts/5003/5003_01.asp)? ---

The Jesuit General controls the Pope, and the Roman Catholic Institution (he never calls it a “church”) controls the Freemasons, Illuminati, the Alexandria Cult (they’re the ones responsible for all Bible versions other than the King James), all neo-pagan organizations, etc. Pretty much everything you could name that isn’t a church of Chick’s variant of evangelical Protestantism. Even Hitler was a Vatican front man. In Chick’s view, **all Catholics go to Hell,** unless they “come out” of the Institution and get saved the right way at some time before their deaths. And it hardly bears mentioning that the same fate awaits unrepentant liberal Protestants, Mormons, Jews, Muslims, Hindus, etc. I’m not making any of this stuff up. ---

I was off on my directions–I was picturing the Thames flowing east/west, and it looks like it actually bends to flow north/south past Parliament. So beyond Big Ben to the east is Palace plus river; to the south is the Palace itself; and to the west (away from the Thames) is a park. But what about to the north? The cartoon could have been drawn from _above_ the Palace of Westminster (and you can’t see the Palace because it’s cropped out), facing north, parallel to the Thames. I don’t remember what buildings are located there, but are there not banks and offices and so forth? ---

I do kind of like how he’s willing to make Jesus black in the black version. If you think about it, the fact that he makes Jesus have different skin colors depending on the audience is rather postmodern\*. And even though he may be intolerant, there are some things I like about him more than other intolerant christians. He doesn’t think less of Muslims than he does anyone else. It’s too bad he’s harsher on homosexuality. He’s nowhere near the nastiness of Phelps, and in some ways he might be better than Pat Robertson. He may be crazier but he’s less hateful. It looks like Grandpa’s face is melting in every panel that has him in it. So, how about his claims about the origin of Islam? I mean, I don’t think they’re true, but what’s the rebuttal? \*Maybe that’s not quite the right word. ---

Or that Chick’s theory comes from a con man posing as a former priest whose claims about Catholicism and Islam have absolutely no support whatsoever from any legitimate historian? ---

I like the quotation marks around all of Jesus’s dialogue, even though the dialogue is already in a word balloon. Makes me think Jesus is speaking ironically. I picture him saying, “Love your enemy,” while doing finger quotes. Also, Jenny appears to be a guy in drag. ---

Well, not “black” as in African-American but certainly darker than the blue-eyed boy we’ve all seen on the Sunday School posters. It’s believed by some scholars that people of the Middle East were even darker in skin color than today, becuase there’s been so much intermarriage with the various invading groups down through the centuries. So, while Jesus might not have been “black”, he probably wouldn’t be considered “white” today. And by the way, you’re wrong. Samuel L. Jackson should play Jesus. Can’tcha just see him driving the moneylenders from the temple? ---

Y’know, I just realized this is actually kind of restrained for ol’ Jack. He claims Hadijah was Catholic but otherwise doesn’t even mention the Catholic church, and he doesn’t talk about the dreaded Catholic mega-conspiracy at all. Is he maybe backing away from some of his more outrageous views, or is he just hoping to slowly lead people up to the crazier stuff?
