You guys will turn anything into a theological debate. The truth of the matter is actually much more simple: _The aliens have gotten to Ed_. In reality, Gaudere is an advance agent for the fluffy bunnies of Planet X, who have conspired to take over Earth in the name of She Whose Horn Cannot Be Seen. This fact was revealed on national TV, but is denied by the skeptics. It’s on the tape of one episode of the Newlywed Game… 🙂 Congratulations, Gaudere. It’s a brilliant and most appropriate appointment. ---

Poly, you should know better than to spread those nasty Urban Legends. See, you already created a false memory for Lib. Shame on you. It was not the fluffy bunnies of Planet **X**. Gaudere was advance agent for the Bene Tleilaxu, in their quest to invade the machine Planet **IX**. I have, however, heard that the fourth planet of Eridani, Richese, is next on the hit list. And David B is really a ghola. Okay, let’s debate something _really_ important: Is the accent in “Gaudere” on the first or the second syllable (i.e. is it a 2nd-conjugation Latin verb or a 3rd-conjugation one)? ---

“Gaw-day-RAY”? With the accent on the LAST syllable?! But, but, but … but according to _Teach Yourself Latin_, the accent in all Latin multisyllable words is supposed to go either on the next-to-last syllable or on the syllable BEFORE that – never on the last syllable! Does this mean I have to throw out my Latin book now? ---
