I think it was communal, in that at least one MAD who is in both games was snowed in, and then a DAD who is in both games got the sniffews. Dip Minime could beat up Dip 1099[sub]although I hear that Turkey guy is pretty tough[/sub] ---

Well, yes. In 1099 Turkey will be going to Portugal. Via Italy, Austria, Russia, Germany and France. England I like, so it can be a satellite. ---

If, _if_, this is the game where the results were sent this morning, then it’s really taken some interesting turns. Obviously **Mr. Steve** suffers from his lack of kibbitzing on the Boards. It sure looks like a dogpile on Germany. Our beloved **JC** is rounding the bases in the wrong direction, and glancing off France on his way to England. **WL** is all in Germany’s sh!t, which can’t be making the Kaiser too happy. **Weirddave** , in Austria, seems to be doing okay but he needs to see a surgeon about having that Russian Army removed. Speaking of which, what the hell is that Italian army doing roming up around Bohemia? Looking for a good latte? Meantime **McG** and **Omni** seem to be wetting themselves over the prospects in Northern Europe, but where will the builds come from once the German is destroyed? **Schnitte** , meanwhile, seems stuck in neutral down in the other corner. All in all quite entertaining, but a bit difficult to predict where things will go once everyone finishes pounding on the German war machine. ---

Retreats went out. Germany’s Belgium army retreated to Ruhr Germany’s Munich army retreated to Tyrolia I still need one build order, and then will post that. **JC** didn’t capture Portugal so much as he ran smack into it because he misjudged the corner at Gibraltar. ---

I’m sorry. What with sending in the minime build, getting the 1099 adjudication out, all that stuff this morning I failed to forward myself the Minime adjudication. The webpage has been updated including the map with retreats already executed. I believe all builds are in as well, so once **AB** gets them sent out I’ll plug them in and post the winter map and results including next year’s deadlines as provided. Enjoy. ---

**Abe** , I tried to get into that with you, but I just couldn’t figure out where I stood on the issue. I mean, 1099 is clearly a better game from a purely _administrative_ standpoint, but obviously it would be folly to argue that the players are of a higher caliber than those of Minime. I’m just so conflicted about the whole thing. I had been trying to avoid having them all sent to my yahoo account because I was getting close to my space limit there, but I cleaned it out. So I guess this is by way of a ‘thank you’ for adding my yahoo account to the mailing list. ---

Better from an administrative standpoint? When we had an error in Mini-me, we worked through it. Dip 1099 has a snafu and shuts down. It’s like the Windows of the Diplomacy world. And I refer to 1099 as It That Must Not Be Named. ---

As a neutral party, I’d have to say that so far 1099 - Get Smart has been more drama and humor, but the fighting in Minime has been more intense. As for administration, I might have to give the nod to **Omni** in his GM debut, especially for his careful explanation of the orders in his last note. ---
