My probation officer has got me worried. I have been on probation 3 months now. He hasn’t had me drop til Oct 10th. I smoked twice not very heavily… but very chronic stuff in early august. I have been hearing that there is a drug urine test that can read 3 months back? Is this bullshit? Please tell me it is. ---

Possibly And I hope it does and he hooks your ass up. Why don’t you obey the terms of your probation rather than fret about crap like this? You are aware that you confessed to breaking your probation terms to the entire world, aren’t you? Does your probation include your P.O. being able to search your hard drive? You are also aware that it is prohibited on these boards to seek advice on how to break the law which is what violating your probation is. ---

So yes, it isn’t how much trouble precisely, but whether or not he’s in trouble. Either way he’s not asking for advice on how to violate the law. ---

I’m taking this as a question about whether the drug test exists, not how to violate probation. [Moderator Instructions] Let’s stick to the specific question in the OP. Don’t provide any advice on how to beat a drug test or avoid getting punished for the probation violation. I don’t think there would be anything in urine to detect from that far back. THC is fat soluble, which is why it hangs around so long in the first place (which is bullshit if you ask me - the hard, harmful stuff is mostly undetectable after ~3 days. Drug tests are prejudiced against marijuana users, but I digress…), so unless you’re morbidly obese and/or it was some SUUUUUUUUUPER DANK shit, you should be clean. You can detect that far back with hair tests, as I understand it, but they’re prohibitively expensive and most places don’t bother with them. I have never, ever heard of a urinalysis able to detect minimal use like you’re describing anywhere near 3 months. If it’s that serious, go pick up some synthetic urine. Always worked for me. But these were pre-employment tests, not DOC - not sure if/how they differ. ---
