Ok, We here in New England seem down right antisocial judging from the dopefest threads from around the rest of the US. I’d like to change that. So I’m looking to plan a pot luck barbecue now that the weather is improving. The location would be my humble back yard in Haverhill (on the MA/NH border by Plaistow/Salem NH) This thread is to determine the date. May 15/16 is no good because that’s my daughter’s birthday party weekend. Other than that I believe we’re open. Kids are welcome. I have a 3 year old and a 6 month old myself so we’re used to small shrieking beings who spill things and need their food cut into pieces so small you need a microscope to see them. So - any thoughts? ---

Either day is fine by me - what’s better for the rest of you guys? I know a lot of extra curricular activities tend to be scheduled on Saturdays… But I also know if I have to drive I prefer to do that on a Saturday so I have Sunday to relax afterwards… 🙂 I’m no help here am I? ---

May 22 sounds like a plan. I started this whole fest-a-que thing on the mailing list and figured I better cross post here. I also plan to cross post in LJ when we get a better clue about how things will go. Bring whatever you want. I’m getting a spanking new grill for the season and will have paper goods and random appetizers and snacks. I have outdoor chairs for about 15 so if you have a favorite folding chair you may want to bring that if we get enough responses… Bring your favorites. If you are a pepsi only kind of person bring that. Have to have that special veggie dip bring a platter 🙂 Simply love fruit salad? Make a whole bowl! Something that your kids are super picky about? Bring that. 🙂 ---
