New executive order seizes complete control of all regulatory agencies, interpretation of law

For those keeping tabs on the status of the Humphrey’s Executor precedent, it stands for another week at least. The Supreme Court has once again dodged an opportunity to say that the president can fire anyone in the administration at will. The court declined to lift a stay that is currently preventing Trump from firing Hampton Dellinger, a special counsel who as such should be fired only for “inefficiency, neglect of duty or malfeasance in office.”

I don’t recall electing Pam Bondi.

By the stated logic - which, one should note, is based in Democratic theory not Republican - you end up with a president and no one else in the whole executive branch.
