Wife just asked if I could find out why Richard Karn is leaving as host of family Feud. I have no idea and can’t seem to find the reason online. Anyone have a clue? ---

Well, I did find [this page,](http://www.freep.com/apps/pbcs.dll/article?AID=/20060905/ENT07/609050375/1046/ENT) which doesn’t explain the reason for Karn’s departure but does announce that the new host is John O’Hurley, known for such roles as J. Peterman on _Seinfeld_. Karn was preceded as host by Richard Dawson, Ray Combs, and Louie Anderson. ---

I just hope he doesn’t kill himself now. Y’know, I love John O’Hurley but I cannot take him the slightest bit seriously. (looks at list of previous hosts, especially Dawson) No, I mean it. Not as if FF is serious art but everything O’Hurley says sounds like a parody. I still haven’t gotten over that “100 Mexicans Say” is now “What People Say.” That host, whoever the hell he is, is a good host even if you don’t speak Spanish (Wife does and needs her fix of FF) so I guess they’re trying to broaden the appeal. I can see how people can pick up some of another language watching game shows. I’m starting to be able to pick up some Spanish, enough even to say, “You’ve got to be kidding!” after a particularly stupid answer. And I’ve NEVER seen ANYONE get SIX ZEROS!!! in the American version of “Fast Money.” ---

Peterman to me and the way he played that role was so over the top I can’t see him as anything else.
