I put this here because, well, _it’s Ozzy._ But mods, feel free to move it elsewhere. Scientists have discovered a new species of tree frog in Brazil that sounds like a bat. Reminded of the famous incident in which Ozzy bit the head off a bat, they named it after the Black Sabbath frontman. The scientific designation of the new frog is _dendropsophus ozzyi_. > **[Biologists Have Named A New Tree Frog Species After Ozzy Osbourne](https://gizmodo.com/biologists-have-named-a-new-tree-frog-species-after-ozz-1657854160)** > > When Ozzy Osbourne bit the head off a bat in a 1981 concert, he never could have imagined that the event would be commemorated decades later by metalhead scientists, who discovered a weird frog while on an expedition in the Brazilian Amazon. ---
