“His educational philosophy emphasizes the ‘Three Rs: Rigor, Relevance and Relationships, with a strong commitment to creating a culture where all students feel they belong,”
..well I don’t exactly know if he is…but a lot of the teachers there are and have said stuff like “God watches over our class”
So you went there for a few days, and you don’t know anything about him, and you know that a lot of teachers there say stuff like “God watches over you”?
Educators are not forbidden, by law, from discussing their own religion in a neutral and non-proselytizing manner. At least, I’m pretty sure it’s OK, else teachers wouldn’t be able to wear cross pendants or Stars of David or what have you. Although I can’t seem to dig up a cite. School policy, of course, may vary from school to school.
There was more there, but there wasn’t anything you wrote. No summary for why someone would want to read it. No explanation of why you cared, or what your reaction was, it why you thought others might be interested.
I used to live on Bainbridge Island, about two counties up, and some friends from there relocated to Gig Harbor. Also, I’m a teacher, but not in America. How would you have liked the school to handle your issues differently?
If we’re picking nits, none of Gig Harbor proper is in Kitsap County, and all Bainbridge Island is (not “some” although its residents pretend otherwise).
