You know, we do convict more crooked politicians than any other state. Do you really think we are more corrupt than New York, Louisiana, Illinois or Michigan? Maybe we are just better at actually catching the crooks?
Not really. The Mafia ( by whatever name ) had and has deep economic ties to mob back in the old country, primarily in Sicily, but more recently also Calabrese mobsters. For example most of the heroin trade on the eastern seaboard of the U.S. in 70’s and 80’s was in fact controlled by Sicilian mobsters rather than their American counterparts.
So basically what you’re saying is, silly rabbi, tricks are for politicians?
As a longtime resident of the Chicago area, I, for one, welcome a different region taking the heat.

Anyway, the human body parts trafficking is a pretty strange angle. I’m eagerly awaiting more info about this, because that’s one of the oddest claims I’ve read in recent journalism. Who was trafficking body parts, and were the politicians involved? This whole thing is such a clusterfuck I can’t even wrap my head around.
