I’ll be moving to Jersey fairly soon, one of my friends who lives there gave me this advice, which would do great as a motto.

When did the Jersey accent get confused with the exagerated New Yark accent? Nobody in Jersey nor New York has talked that way since Hoover was president. Not to mention that there’s no uniform Jersey accent, but whatever.

Actually most of NJ, if it watches baseball are Yankee Fans.
Yanks out number the Mets who outnumber the Philly fans.
All others are significantly lower.
Hal: I love yours, but the bumper sticker would need to be the size of the bumper. Can we just sum it up as “Please Visit, please don’t stay.”

Always been my experience that those that don’t watch baseball outnumber those that do. Those that don’t all seem to have a strong dislike of the Yankees; while those that do watch are split about evenly between the Yanks and the Mets.
Neighborhood where I grew up had nothing but Mets fans. Of course, it also had nothing but Jets fans too, so maybe they were just weird.
Well, at least the Mets beat someone…
