He needs a playmate or three, you know.
Awwwww… Cute!

[sub]The kitten threads here are wearing me down. I want a kitten.[/sub]
A little bit of both!
I’ll be adding more pictures after work today - I wore out my camera’s batteries!
He’s one adorable little dude. But he’s got trouble in his eye. Seriously…he looks like non-stop action.
Squeeee! I love him.
Say Hi to your new boss for me. He is adorable.
Give him a cuddle from us, he’s so cute!
What a cutie! Your overlord has arrived!
I wants another kitty, dammit.
They’re just like babies, you know. They sucker you in by being adorable now to keep you from killing them when they are teenager cats later on. ::bitter voice of current experience::
What a cutie-pie! And what an excellent name!
Squeeeeee!
Ahem! [looks around, squares shoulders, mutters gruffly into beard]
Looks just like our Aeris when she was a kitten.
I volunteered at the SPCA today as part of a work function. I walked dogs, because I couldn’t trust myself in the cattery. Of course, I wanted to take the dogs home, too!
What an adorable kittie!
I love the pic where he stares at the carpet: you can hear him thinking to himself: “Would this be a good place to pee?”
Actually… I have a question for those with more kitten experience than I.
He keeps trying to suckle. He’ll knead on me and suck on my clothes, hair, earlobe… whatever he can get. I thought maybe it meant he was hungry, and sure enough, if I brought him to his food bowl, he’d eat… but he’d come back and keep sucking. He cries a lot, too - a little plaintive squeal, for no specific reason that I can pinpoint. He’ll squeal while we’re playing, while he’s snuggling, while he’s pooping… hell, he does it in his sleep if I pet him. Could he have been separated form his mother too early? Is there anything special I should be doing? He’s eating canned food and kitten kibble, and is still insanely playful, and purrs all the time, so I’m not too worried, but still…
Kneading and suckling behaviors are quite common in cats. This thread might be of interest to you.
Kittens often do the kneading and suckling bit even after they are weaned. The suckling behavior usually disappears gradually. My adult cats continue to knead whenever they’re feeling especially content and happy. I really don’t think it has that much to do with when they were separated from their mothers based on what I’ve seen with fiftysome kittens that I’ve fostered over the past few years. The vocalizations kittens make when using the litterbox, etc. seem to be fairly common too though I have no idea why they do it. As they get older they usually stop is all I can say.
DAMN is he cute. This reminds me of when Max The Devil Cat From Hell was a tiny little guy. Oh, he was so cute. I always ask him, “Max, do you remember when you were just a tiny ball of fuzz? Oh, you were so cute!”
Then he bites me.
Our 16-year-old black cat still kneads and suckles her blanket on ocassion. Our 8-year-old gray gets on my wife’s lap and kneads (and drools). Don’t be surprised if your kitten keeps it up. I think it’s “comfort” behaviour for some cats.
