Didn’t we at one time have a thread announcing new moderators? Or am I dreaming? I have noticed a few new mods around and was wondering if I missed an announcement. Or do we now allow them to sneak up on us? 😃 ---

We have two newbies: [**Miller** in General Questions](http://boards.straightdope.com/sdmb/showthread.php?t=533612), and [**Ellen Cherry** in MPSIMS](http://boards.straightdope.com/sdmb/showthread.php?t=533760). They got their buttons late last month. ---
