Now that we have steeped our souls in the darkest of wordplay, we can resume trying to get out of this place. Does anyone know whether the Vale is still reachable? ---

There’s a door behind that dead ficus in the terracotta pot…no, it’s not dead…it’s trying to open the door! ---

Did we miss any, perhaps? That was in the lower room beyond the first initiation room, the initiation room with the (shudder) tentacles… and the last I remember, b]Hal\*\* had his force of CHUDs renovating the place. Og alone knows what’s in there now. We may have to go back there eventually, but for now let’s see what’s beyond some of the doors in _this_ initiation room. ---

If I remember my high shool botany (and I don’t), the best way to befriend a ficus is to toss a double handful of mulch on top of it’s root ball. I don’t suppose anyone here has some mulch handy? ---

Og alone knows what’s in there now. Well, if you recall, the C.H.U.D.s were wiped out when the villiagers from Wherever The Hell We Landed tried storming the castle. So the basement is free for the exploring. Of course, the only reason the C.H.U.D.s headed to the surface in the first place is because they were _driven_ out of the sub-basement area by some of the _really_ nasty things that took up residence there. If you’re looking to do some exploring down there, I’d make sure to get your personal affairs in order first. ---
