I don’t know how it was done in the old days, but now there are a set number of questions in the pool and the pool is divided into sections. On the test you will see some number of questions from the first section and some number of questions from the second section an so on. If you go through the online quizes enough times you can just basically memorize the whole question pool. I whizzed through the Tech exam one month and them both the General and Extra the next month this way. As for getting back up to speed on the code. [Read this](http://www.qsl.net/n1irz/finley.morse.html) and then download the [Koch CW Trainer](http://www.g4fon.net/CW%20Trainer.htm) from the G4FON site.
