I’ve played ten minutes so far and somehow didn’t get tutorial tips, which was an error. Anyway, Humankind is supposed to out-Civilization Civilization, and so far it looks VERY much like Civilization, so we shall see. Anyone else pick it up? ---

I tried it out since Microsoft got it Day 1 on their GamePass service. I also arrogantly disabled the tutorial tips, which was a big mistake. I need to give it more time. I liked the company’s earlier Endless Legend very much. The hunter-gatherer idea at the start is kind of cute. I suspect I’ll be skipping it as quickly as possible if I ever figure out how to play though. ---

Just an FYI, you can reset the tutorials. I had the same issue with disabling them and then not knowing what was going on. In the settings menu under gameplay there is an option to reset all tutorials. ---

Bought it last night. Next thing I knew it was after midnight. But I just had to finish my war with the Nubians… So the next thing I knew was that I won said war, and it was after 1am… ---

I bought the game on Tuesday, right when it came out. I love the Civilization series, and I’ve read that this game is being compared favorably to Civilization. I haven’t played very long, and I still don’t think I really know what I’m doing. I managed to get one of my units killed by a _deer_. But I’m looking forward to spending some time playing this weekend, and getting into the game more seriously. Please keep the comments coming. I’m interested to hear what others think. ---
