Hah, yes. It looks doofy as hell but doofy with function. Unlike failed designs meant to look badass or luxurious, this has strong vibes of “It’s trying it’s best” which is a bit endearing.
Looks like a shuttle bus with a broken nose. I love it.
It looks retro-futuristic, somehow.
A man drives down the street in that truck, people know he’s not afraid of anything.
I’ve spotted USPS tow trucks around. They’re very bare bones, understandably meant for short hops, but have the familiar lettering and livery.
I wonder how much fleet maintenance is done by the Service vs contractors and local garages.
It does look cartoonish. I bet kids will love it. I hope they’re making toy versions of the vehicle for kids.
I’m so old that I was working summers at the post office in 1970 or so when they introduced their fleet of right-hand-drive jeeps and trucks. Talk about bare bones. They were rattling tin seemingly built on Model T’s. They were fine for country roads, I suppose, but driving them in city traffic was nightmarish because visibility was straight ahead only.
I’d be fascinated to drive one of the new trucks just to see how far technology has advanced.
