I rarely buy shoes. Half the time I can’t find my size (5.5, usually). Plus I tend to be picky - it’s hard to find that right note between crazy and boring when it comes to shoes. This is why I rarely buy shoes online - I always end up returning them after I try them on. But a few weeks ago my grandmother sent me some money for my birthday, so I decided to give [Zappos.com](http://Zappos.com) another try and ordered [these](http://www.zappos.com/n/p/p/7393360/c/2986.html). They just arrived on my doorstep not ten minutes ago, and already I am in love. I have never worn heels that feel so comfortable, and they fit PERFECTLY. Those look awesome on. The straps are really flattering. I just haven’t been very excited about many shoes this season. I did buy [these](http://www.flickr.com/photos/7161556@N03/2451980053/) but I think I’m deciding that they’re just too much and will probably return them. ---

So? Some shoes are for work, some are for running errands, some are to do yardwork in, some are to play dress-up for your SO, and some are just so pretty you keep them for special occasions. ---

**HazelNutCoffee** , those shoes were “cute” when I saw the Zappos link and dead sexy on your feet (especially that second picture). As for **tremorviolet’s** shoes, I can only say that they are amazing. I would never wear them anywhere, but I deeply love them. Where do you find all these awesome shoes, **tremorviolet**? Those in particular are seriously gorgeous. ---

[These](http://www.zappos.com/n/p/p/7135710/c/14.html) are supposedly on my doorstep right now. They aren’t so pretty as yours, but I need white shoes with a somewhat chunky heel for my wedding. I’ve never done the Zappos thing before, and I may well have to send them back a few time till I get the fit right, but if it lets me avoid shoe shopping it’s worth it. If they fit and look nice, I’ll probably pick up a black pair, too, for regular wear. I could use a pair of heels. If they do fit, I’ll shave my legs and post a pic. Of the shoes, but without hairy ankles. ---

I bought [these](http://www.topshop.com/webapp/wcs/stores/servlet/ProductDisplay?beginIndex=0&viewAllFlag=&catalogId=19551&storeId=12556&categoryId=73931&parent_category_rn=42358&productId=679615&langId=-1) a few days ago. I then spent quite a lot of time standing in a service station bathroom washing chocolate off them, having stepped in a Godiva truffle (long story), but they are still very pretty, and make me feel happy whenever I look at my feet. And that, **tremorviolet** , is why you must keep those gorgeous shoes. Your feet are the only part of your body you can always get a good view of - and smile when you see them. ---

And you don’t have to deal with salespeople breathing down your neck. **tdn** , nice. [/QUOTE] Yeah- I ordered on Friday afternoon and they actually got here yesterday, but some asshole took down my note in the lobby to use the tack, so UPS had to come back today. That is some amazing shipping. It was also the quickest online order form I’ve ever filled out- I guess they don’t want to give you time to reconsider! And **Hockey Monkey** , I agree- you should get them! I’m totally not a shoe person (foot shape problems forbid), but if you can walk in them, go for it!
