In Texas it’s against the law to _not_ own a gun. 😉  
That’s not true. I just can’t resist taking a dig at Texans. 😛

before they ban the thing.

And **Adam** yeah, it depends on the state. Texas is probably the one place that you COULD own a gun.

**adam yax** , it should just involve filling out a form 4473 and getting a NICS check from the department of public safety which can often be done by the dealer in one phone call. Check with a dealer to make sure. You don’t even have to be a citizen to own a registered machine gun in the US. A friend is an ex-pat Canadian who left because of the restrictive gun laws and has at least four MGs in his collection.

**Phlosphr** , PR&G is a nice club, membership is $90 or so a year and you get the gate combo to use the facility during the week when it isn’t open to the public. I may be down there this friday evening when the IDPA group does a night match on the first friday of the month.
