# New Smart Phone. Looking for opinions.

I have it narrowed down to the Droid Maxx and the new Samsung S5. I currently have a Droid X that is showing its age. The cost is the same.

The Droid Maxx’s main pros are I am used to Droids, The chargers I have already should work, the phone seems to have an awesome battery life.

The Galaxy has a slightly better camera, a higher resolution screen and has scratch proof lass (which my Droid X has but the Maxx apparently does not).

Any opinions? I know the S5 isn’t out yet but if you have a Galaxy I am sure this one isn’t much different. Thanks.

I got the Galaxy S5 the other day after sticking with my htc Evo 4G for like four years and it is a major upgrade. Im still dealing with figuring out all the differences between the two manufacturers, and I probably would have preferred the htc M8 but my wife surprised me with this one and I can’t complain.

This one is very smooth and intuitive but like I said i’m still figuring out the differences. Im probably the wrong demographic for describing everything the phone is capable of as I mainly use my phones to surf the internet. I didnt know about the scratch-proof glass on the S5, but did hear the M8 had it.

I think the chargers across the whole Android ecosystem are on the same micro-USB standard.

The S5 comes with a 3.0 USB but is supposed to be also backwards compatible, but I haven’t tried yet.
