OK, I REALLY don’t want to grab the reigns from Flypsyde, but I have two complaints against the previous Springfield meeting thread: 1. At 105+ posts (& 3 pages), it is taking FOREVER to load. 2. Most of the last dozen or posts have been brief exchanges of witticisms, and they don’t seem to be moving the subject matter along. I’m getting a sense that we’re definitely going to have to change the venue from D’Arcy’s to someplace else, probably The Spot, and that we’re going to meet later. Therefore, I am opening this new thread, with all apologies to my fellow Springfieldurs David B and Flypsyde, in the hopes that we can reach a definitive conclusion on place, time (the date is still 2/26, right?), and attendees. Thank you, ladies and gentlemen. I now return the floor to my esteemed colleague, Flypsyde. ---

I drive a '67 bug and am pretty sure it could make the trip, but if I could catch a ride with someone else that’d be fine too. Looks like I’ll be showing up at some point on Friday with my friend, Terry. She’s never actually posted anything, because she refuses to capitalize and doesn’t want to get yelled at. 🙂 Anyhow, she needs a break as much as I do. Talera and I plan to go, but I’m waiting to see how the financial situation resolves itself before I go hitting my mother up for baby sitting duties. Ok, I’ve received a few e-mails (sorry if I haven’t responded yet) from folks. I really do think it will be easier to manage if we arrange things that way. Anyway, if you are coming, please send me your e-mail and your plans (planned time in and out, where staying, etc.). As I noted in that thread, I think it’s almost a necessity that some of us eat at least one meal at Cecil’s. I like The Spot as a main Sat. night meeting place (ok, I’ve never actually been there…). ---

I’ll do my best to take it to email.
