I read the article and it doesn’t sound like it’s only about allowing non-lawyers to perform simple legal jobs. I only gave the article a quick read, but it also sounds like they are allowing law _firms_ to offer partnerships or partnership interest to individuals that aren’t lawyers. For example, it would allow a law firm to offer a partnership interest to an accountant, and maybe offer accounting services to companies they currently lawyer for. Or that’s how I read it, anyway. ---

If he took the helicopter, he’d be home by the time the same helicopters took him to Andrews, got one of the jets warmed up, loaded other helicopters on C-17s, jetted to Delaware, unloaded the helicopters, unfolded the rotor blades, did all the preflight checks or unloaded a dozen armored limousines, got everyone in the cars and drove to his home. It’s just 111 miles, 45 minutes by helicopter. ---

And don’t they set up a semi-permanent secure communications facility wherever the current president lives? I think they set this up at Mar-A-Lago and at Trump Tower. I’m not criticizing Biden but the amount of hoopla involved in the POTUS (any POTUS) going anywhere is ridiculous and a distance of less than two hours travel by car should not require gassing up a large plane. ---

It may be worth noting that Air Force One is not a plane, it is a designation. If Joe the President hopped on a Gulfstream or Piper Cherokee to fly to Wilmington, it would be called Angel One because it had the prez on it. A Cherokee, maybe not so much, what with the dark-sunglasses-detachment that has to troop around with him, but a small jet would work. Or maybe an Osprey. That would be freaking awesome. It would take off as Marine One, fly as Air Force One and set down on his back lawn as Marine One again. And those things are darn roomy inside. Almost as capacious as a Chinook. ---

I doubt that Marine One would be re-designated as Air Force One. As the names indicate, the Marines fly Marine One while the Air Force flies Air Force One. Unless they switch crews mid-flight. ---

There are USAF, USMC and USN versions. The Air Force version has higher fuel capacity. ---
