Well, I never did watch any of that reality show, so all I know about Jenner is the history of athletic successes and the more recent transition. I’ll take your word for it. ---

I can’t disagree. Anyone with a basic level of intellectual ability will have noticed that Trumpian Conservatism is even more marked by narrow tribalism and intolerance than traditional conservatism was. These people are _massively_ insecure, and they cannot abide anyone who doesn’t mirror them in every way they consider important–which certainly includes everything connected with gender roles and sexuality. Of _course_ the vast majority of them would consider it important to publicly and unmistakably reject someone like Jenner. ---

I don’t know, there is money to be made in being the token minority of the Republican party. Sure you have to sell your soul, and accept that those of your previous will despise you for selling them down the river, while your new tribe will never actually accept you, but in the meantime you get invited to all sorts of events where they point to as their one black/gay/transgender friend demonstrating that they can’t possibly be the party of intolerance. Just look at Yiannopoulos or Diamond and Silk. ---

If the Democrats had just ignored the vote tallies and allowed the Congress to install Trump as President for Life they wouldn’t have need to attempt a coup so it’s really the Democrats fault this all had to happen . . . is kinda true, for certain definitions of ‘true’. ---
