I fear that if Republicans retake control of all three branches in 2024, one of their first priorities is going to be giving corporations and rich individuals greater freedom to sue media. The GOP is going to use courts to validate their minority-majority grip on power, and using the courts is going to be their vanguard in the assault on the first amendment freedom of the press. Reporters won’t be jailed; their employers will just be forced to trim staff or shut down altogether, or have their legal departments dictate which stories get told and which ones don’t. ---

Yes, yes he did. First it took 2 tries to break the glass, then he put the bottle through, then tossed what looked like firecrackers. They went off but did not ignite the bottle. He then threw more in and almost caught himself on fire. The second batch of what looked like firecrackers did ignite the bottle. Ms Maddow did a great job last night highlighting this on her show.
