Graham might just realize, as many of his fellow Repugs seem to not, that being unvaxxed is killing their chances of reelection. Not that he has to worry about himself for another five years, but Democratic gains in the Senate stemming from MAGAts dying off are going to make him more irrelevant than he already is. ---

Hmmm. IPv4 packets have an 8-bit TTL (time-to-live) field in their headers. The field is decremented each time the packet is routed hop-to-hop. When it gets to zero, the packet is dropped. Usually it’s considered that a hop will take no more than a second, so a packet will not be “alive” on the network for more than 4 minutes and 15 seconds. So in a sense every packet on the internet has a “best before” date, and you’re more right than you may know! Of course for an 850-year old packet to still be alive on the Internet, it must have averaged over three years per hop. Perhaps there is an echo router somewhere out past the Oort Cloud or near Alpha Centauri that has advertised some routes via GBGP (Galactic Border Gateway Protocol) that has kept these packets in free flight for that long. ---
