Since when does the federal Constitution say anything at all about the powers of a state’s governor? And since when does a governor have “war powers”? Isn’t that reserved for the federal government? I cannot believe I’m even thinking about these questions. ---

Since the Presidential ticket isn’t sworn in until January 20, the previous VP remains as president of the Senate until then. Isn’t the American democratic system weird? And isn’t it strange none of this was ever an issue before Trump the Great and Powerful? ---

We’ve been hearing the “If we let them into our country, terrorism will follow” argument for decades now. It’s almost as if Republicans _want_ a terrorist attack to happen just so they can say “I told you so”. ---
