It should be noted that this vote was on a SJR, which is usually not the kind of thing that creates law, more of an opinion. (However, if I have my civics correct, Constitutional amendments are passed as Joint Resolutions.) ---

The resolution Gohmert voted against was one about the peaceful transition of power. The one squashed by the Senate Republicans was about white supremacists. The only source I saw was the Tweet by Brian Schatz, but since he’s a Senator I would think he knows what happened in the Senate chamber. I haven’t seen anything else, but I posted that while having lunch and I was working until now. ETA: I’m not certain it even got to a vote. He said it was blocked, so I think McConnell was swinging his scythe. ETATA: He corrected himself to say it was a bill, not a resolution. ---
