In response to the reports that a 10-year-old rape victim was denied an abortion on Ohio, the state AG took to Fox News to declare that the story was made up. Fox News, the _Wall Street Journal_, and any number of YouTubers with large right-wing followings did the same thing: pretend to believe the story was invented and then fail to acknowledge how wrong they’d been. And none of them will pay any price whatsoever for this stunt (which had to have caused great pain to the family of the 10-year-old, if not to the kid herself). ---

Pat Cipolloni thinks Mike Pence should get the Presidential Medal of Freedom because he did his job and certified the election. Is the bar so low that we should we give one to everyone in the Trump administration who obeyed the law and didn’t join the coup attempt? Well, I think that doing his job with his boss trying to force him to not do the job is pretty good, but he deserves nothing in the way of praise since after the insurrection, he still continues to support his boss. ---

It would be the death of Pence’s political career, and the fact that this desirable outcome would be accomplished by Joe Biden LITERALLY slipping a rope around the neck of that god-bothering toady is an irony too delicious for words. ---
