If they can get the fetus legally recognized as a dependent, it’ll make it that much easier to charge a mother with murder for miscarriages. ---

The couple hiring the surrogate are (almost invariably) the ones with MONEY in this situation, so it is axiomatic that their parental rights shall not be infringed. ---
