Well, it’s a person at conception (apparently), so at a minimum I’d think anyone who had a delayed period should be able to assume they were pregnant and get a deduction. Potentially, anyone who has unprotected sex should be able to claim a non-implanted fertilization every month. ---

So how large an income would you have to have in order for it to be cost effective to get pregnant get the tax deduction and then on April 16th make a quick day trip to Illinois for an abortion. ---

Don’t the claims have to be from the previous year? April 15th is the Filing Date, not usually the cut-off date for deductions. ---
