Complaining about the price of the fresh salsa, the one that just happens to be right there, and asking if there’s a shortage of salsa without actually checking to see if there’s a cheaper salsa? Also, broccoli and asparagus with salsa and guacamole? Dr. Oz, a totally regular guy! I mean don’t all the regular folks in Pa call veggie platters “crudités”? ---

I don’t have a problem with the broccoli, carrots, or the asparagus . . . but guacamole and salsa? In a crudité? I mean it was obvious Oz just picked up what was close. Thankfully he wasn’t next to the apples or he’d be serving broccoli, carrots, and asparagus with a nice caramel dip! ---

Salsa I grant is weird, but guacamole is not especially so. It has the same general umami and mouthfeel as hummus. ---

For the most part, the flavor of the dip overpowers the veggie, which turns into a crunchy, edible spoon. At any rate, I’ve certainly had salsa and guac as dips for veggies. Not sure I’ve ever had crudites - but my wife does have one foodie cousin who may describe her offerings in that way. ---

I agree with Monty. Perhaps this thread needs to be called Fucking Unbelievable Republican Idea of the Day? Its like the Red Queen (Alice in Wonderland). I guess those are the sorts of arguments that the gop base understands. ---
