Mehmet Oz held a fundraiser at a car museum, standing in front of a car owned by Hitler. The car has a swastika, but they angled the cameras so it wasn’t visible. The fundraiser was organized by Matt Gaetz’s brother-in-law, who is a military contractor. Gaetz is on the House Armed Services Committee. This is yet another one of those cases where, had it been a single incident, I’d call it an oversight and move on, but when you look at everything it’s pretty clearly on purpose. They also had the CPAC stage that accidentally looked like a Nazi symbol, the white power/okay sign that seems to accidentally show up in their pictures, Trump accidentally telling the proud boys to stand by instead of stand down, Trump accidentally scheduled a rally for Juneteenth, Trump accidentally rolling back Michelle Obama’s school nutrition plan on her birthday, the number of times they’ve ‘accidentally’ used the nazi salute. I have read reporting that Trump really wanted to declassify and have published intimate private text messages between Peter Strzok and Lisa Page, in a petty effort to use his presidential powers to shame people that don’t like him. The story is a little confusing, he made the declassification order but it doesn’t look like it was processed before he left office, and apparently it can be rescinded by Biden, although I don’t know if it was.
