As a general principle, I don’t think the state can move evidence of the crime around in order to create more jurisdictions.

Sure, but… what if they did? I mean, this is not a party of reasonableness, or what is right, or even of laws…

But that’s exactly what happened. Granted they didn’t move it TO create more jurisdictions, but that was still the end result. And, I know the judged tossed it, but that doesn’t mean every judge will. In any case, my concern wasn’t about the state moving evidence, but rather the state stepping in to prosecute what would otherwise be a county/local case, because of something like this.

I think he’s simply Putin’s mouthpiece now. Carlson has been given marching orders to try to divide and destroy America. The question is: How much is Fox News itself owned and controlled by Putin?

All that’s true–but I suspect that Vlad still finds at least a _bit_ of room in his budget for supporting anti-American activists such as Mr. Carlson.

Republican slappy fight!

An irate Tucker Carlson phoned Rep. Tom Emmer (R-Minn.), chairman of the House Republican campaign committee, with an ultimatum on Friday:
Either reveal which staff member took a swipe at Carlson’s son, a Capitol Hill aide, in an article about internal House GOP politicking — or the Fox host would assume Emmer himself was to blame for the quote.
…
Rep. Jim Banks (R-Ind.) — who employs Carlson’s son, Buckley Carlson, 25, as communications director — is expected to face off against Emmer for House Republican whip, which would be the majority party’s No. 3 leadership position.
The Daily Beast quoted an anonymous “GOP strategist” as saying of Banks: “Deep down, he dies to be liked by the Establishment. He hires Tucker Carlson’s son, a 24-year-old kid, to be his communications director.”

It depends on whether or not it was an accident. Given that some the places that were sent misdirected notices were in the South East part of the state and went for Trump 2 to 1, I’m not willing to declare it to be malfeasance rather than incompetence.
